Ebar aamay melte dao daana…………

It was Christmas ........I was jogging down the memory lane....remembering Christmas spent at home with my parents and siblings........I desperately wanted to write something about those bygone Christmas celebrations...But strange are the workings of my mind......i scribbled..."The vast sky over my head....but clipped are my wings and i cant fly..." I tried writing the second line but somehow was not getting the music..in a second i switched to Bengali and came up with this poem........Sorry U dont find Christmas anywhere here.......

Aamar oshim aakash mathar ‘pore
Aami daana baadha ek paakhi
Tomaar prem aamar…bedhe rekheche paakha……
Aami ure jete chai e baadhon chhire
Chole jete chai onek dure…
Aami chai na chokhe..tomar sopno aanka.


Tomar prem aamare, joto diyeche haashi
Taar cheye beshi kaanna
Tai to boli..e jibone priyo
Bhalobasha aar na.

Onek holo dewa newa
Onek oporaadh..onek obhimaan
Onek holo aakre dhora
Onek aador..dher opomaan.

Aami onek raat jegechi eka
Kokhono sukhe..kokhono dukhe
Nechechi , kedechi…korechi prolap
Bheshechi koto aabege.

Aami bhulte chai ekhon tomaay
Aar kotodin tomaay niye baachbo…?
Doshti bochhor kete gelo pray
Bolo aar kotodin omon pagol hoye thaakbo?

Ebaar aamar baadhon khule dao
Ebar aamay aar koro na maana
Sottyi aamar shoy na e prem
Ebar aamay melte dao daana…………
